Workshops: Traditional Beadwork, Storytelling, Spoken Work, Wampum Teachings, Music, Dance, Tree Planting CovenantThis event will celebrate and recognize Indigenous People’s Day and Connect the American Indian Community House with North Brooklyn. We will explore the application of Indigenous Values, Culture, and Ethics through environmental teachings and knowledge of how to coexist with nature through dialogue, storytelling, art, dance, and song. This will be a day to deepen our connections with one another, and discuss our relations to the land we occupy.

There are plenty of wearable pieces such as purses, moccasins, pottery and cradleboards from the past. Dating all the way back to the 1700's, the spirit and stories these pieces carry will whisk you away into a vision of life during its era. To hold them pulls you into either the making of it or the originals owners daily life.
